Michael Corney
Michael Corney is a studio artist and former teacher at the University of New Mexico, currently living in Austin, TX. He received his BFA from California State University, Fullerton and his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art. His work is influenced by California Funk forms and imagery that include skulls and faces, images from nature, and game pieces including dice and dominoes. Michael received an individual Artist Fellowship Grant from the Idaho State Commission on the Arts and his work is included in numerous public and private collections including the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco, the Racine Art Museum and the Boise Art Museum.
