Dana DeAno

Dana DeAno is a Chicago based visual artist that works predominately through drawing on paper in a manner she refers to as two and a half dimensional.  Her work varies greatly in materials and incorporates both traditional and non-traditional drawing materials. Non-traditional materials she has used include paper and fabric remnants, thread, paint chips, discarded plastic scraps, and even the occasional old, rubber tires scrap. Dana earned a Masters Degree in Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has been the recipient of a number of scholarships and fellowships, most recently at Ragdale in Lake Forest, IL.  Dana’s work is shown nationally and included in numerous private collections.
